laurelbox: gifts for a grieving woman
The prettiest little gift came in the mail the other day.
It was a beautiful coincidence, since I’ve been collaborating with the lovely ladies at laurelbox for the last few weeks.
I opened the box and felt the tears well as I noticed every little detail was taken care of. Immaculately wrapped. Every piece in it’s place. Carefully made with love. It’s all in the details with the laurelbox.
I received a customized gift box, so each item was handpicked by the gift giver.
laurelbox offers the gift giver four different categories to choose from:
Holidays and Special Occasions
You’ll find beautifully curated boxes for childloss, infant loss, miscarriages, stillbirths, family member or spouse loss, adoption journeys and foster families.
You can choose from beautiful herbal teas, essential oils, linens, jewellery, and so many other pretty and precious items.
I definitely shed some tears as I unpacked each handpicked gift. A copper ‘F’ charm for a necklace or bracelet, a stamped “Brave” vintage spoon, a delicate handkerchief, wonderfully aromatic essential oil and herbal tea. The oil smells delightful–not too overwhelming or floral, but sweet and calming. The tea is soothing and organic. I can tell that a lot of thoughtfulness was poured in to each item.
It was such a treat for me. I highly recommend the laurelbox for grieving mamas and women.
There are so many unique options, including subscription boxes that you can send to a woman on special days like a child’s birthday, the date of a child’s passing, Mother’s Day, or Christmas. And laurelboxes aren’t just for mamas.
One thing I know for sure, is that acknowledgment is so important for a grieving woman. Thoughtfulness and specificity with gift giving or acts of service are also impactful when there are no words. If you browse through the laurelbox website, the care and attention to detail that goes into each box is evident.
Never underestimate the power of timely gifts in the mail.
