highchairs and home remedies and what I’m into.
Flo Bear has a new highchair. We splurged, because we had to find a high chair that had a few specific additions, like a recline option and a knob between the legs, and so on. So we bought a Peg Perego, and are very happy with it. Here’s a picture, sans tray.
I’m watching: Upstairs Downstairs, the new BBC version. It’s done by the same people as Downton Abbey, so it’s good, really good.
I’m making: Okra & Paneer Curry in Coconut Milk. I have an aubergine Le Cuistot dutch oven on order, and I can’t wait to put it to use. I’m using this recipe, but adding in fresh paneer. I love that stuff.
I’m listening to: Bethel Live’s new album, For the Sake of the World. Really good stuff. If this doesn’t blow your face off, I don’t know what will.
I’m reading: The Verses Project: Isaiah 53:4-5. Please click the link and read more. I’m sure it will bless you.
4 Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
“For some strange reason, Jesus can often be portrayed or imagined as a stoic emotionless icon who never experienced true depth of emotion, but this passage in Isaiah teaches us otherwise. Christ is identified as the Suffering Servant who has borne our griefs, the One who’s carried our sorrows.”
That is so true to me, right now more than ever.
Pin of the Week: I’m a lover of simple, natural remedies. Click the picture below for the recipe. Although I don’t expect us to be dealing with a lot of colds this season, since we don’t often get sick in our household, I do like the sound of this. Even when I was pregnant I only had a cold once or twice in 9+ months. Usually if I feel a sniffle coming on I douse myself in all things natural. I’ve been taking a fresh herbal tincture twice a day by Natural Factors called Anti-Viral and this stuff is amazing. What are your favorite cold remedies or antidotes?
