good gifts: enjoying the summer bounty.
I ordered myself a little treat from Fingerprince via Etsy a few weeks ago and it arrived on Monday.
Sometimes the simple, sweet things make a world of difference. A tiny cardboard box, wrapped in a tiny ribbon all the way from Greece.
A CD in the mail from friends in Australia. A text message from a friend saying they are standing with the three of us in faith. Enough sunshine to make skin brown and baby’s neck folds sweaty. An approaching weekend away on the island of Keats with one of my nearest and dearest and her little baby boy. A free baby book in the mail from Canadian Family Magazine. A pom pom maker. Making pots and pots of freezer jam from the blackberries and lavender and the figs and rosemary in our garden.
Asking the Lord for a Merry Muscles baby exerciser for Flo with child like faith and then watching him provide it through a friend’s parents random but generous gift.
Even though there are shaky days and I feel like cracking into a million little bits when Florence is too tired to hold her head up in her Jumperoo, I know that God is faithful.
I know that God is good.
Praise the Lord, O my soul, each and every morning, each and every hour.
